  • 1 tsp granulated sugar(4 g)
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil(45 ml)
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour (70 g) see note for swaps
  • 1 tsp kosher salt(4 g)
  • 1/2 cup of water(125 ml)
  • flaky sea salt for sprinkling For the Toppings
  • seeds, chopped nuts, and/or chopped herbs as desired

Notes

Substitute whole wheat flour with other whole grains (spelt or rye) or use additional all-purpose flour. For ultra-crisp crackers, roll very thin and bake to a deep golden brown.
